8 Days Gorilla Safari Adventure

Day 001: Transfer to Bwindi
Wake up very early in the morning to drive westwards. Take a stop over at the Equator where we will stop for photos and an informative talk. You will have lunch in the calm town of Mbarara and there after proceed with your drive through the verdant countryside. You will pass traditional homesteads and have scenic views of the surroundings. You will arrive in the evening at the lodge for overnight at Gorilla forest camp (Luxury), Gift of nature lodge (Midrange) or Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget)

Day 002: Gorilla tracking and Community walk
There is an early morning access into the gorilla sanctuary; you will be briefed on how to go about this activity. While in the forest, you will be able to see other animals, like the monkeys, buffaloes and so many others. The time taken to track these gorillas is unpredictable but an encounter of these primates is a worthwhile. You will spend about an hour with these great apes and later return to the lodge for relaxation or a community walks to get to know how the local people live. Day 003: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast you will depart northwards for Queen Elizabeth National Park, the drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment. Indulge in a game drive in Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lions before proceeding to your lodge for overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury), Ihamba safari Lodge (Midrange) or Bush lodge (Budget)

Day 004: Game Drive and Launch Drive
The day begins early as we head for the mating ground of the Uganda kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat, before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George, you may be able to see elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos, this cruise will definitely be another highlight of your safari. Overnight at Mweya safari lodge, Ihamba safari lodge or Bush lodge

Day 005: Transfer to Kibale forest National Park
Take breakfast and visit the Maramagambo Forest for a forest walk through the tropical forest, known for the Blue Lake Known as Kimera Njojo and the Bat and Hunters Cave. You will get the chance to have a close look at the bats and maybe even the rock python and forest cobras that prey on the bats. The walk will provide you with views of primates, different bird species and beautiful fauna. You will have lunch to transfer to Kibale forest National Park; you will reach the lodge in the late afternoon for relaxation or visit the crater lakes region. Overnight at Ndali Lodge (Luxury), Primates lodge (Midrange) or Mountains of the moon (Budget)

Day 006: Chimpanzee tracking and Nature walk in the afternoon
After your wonderful breakfast, you will take a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, while tracking; you may be able to see other different animal species like the black-and-white colobus monkeys red-tailed monkey among others. Take lunch and then transfer to Bigodi Swamp for a nature walks that will expose you to the rich avian species, bio diversity and primates at large. Return for overnight at Ndali lodge, Primates cottages or Mountains of the moon hotel

Day 007: Drive back to Kampala
Today we will explore crater lakes region and enjoy the gorgeous scenic numerous crater lakes surrounded by small volcanic hills. They really give exhilarating views. You will later Proceed to Kampala with a lunch enroute you will reach Kampala in the evening. Overnight at Sheraton Hotel (Luxury), Taj Mahal hotel (Midrange) or Holiday express hotel (Budget)

Day 008: Departure
On your last day, depending on the time of your departure flight, you will take a half day city tour to visit some interesting cultural sites in Kampala and craft galleries to shop souvenirs before you get to Entebbe for your flight back home. Book this safari
