4 Days Bwindi Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi

Day 1:  Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel then leave Kampala and head to the southwest of Uganda via Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara road. The drive is about 8-10 hours drive, you will have a stopover to view the equator at Nabusanke trading centre, take some photos and continue to Mbarara where you will have lunch. After lunch, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable national park where gorillas are the centre of attraction. You will reach in the evening for Dinner and overnight at Gift of Nature Lodge (Full board)

Day 2: Gorilla tracking and Nature walk
Take an early morning breakfast, head to the park office headquarters with packed lunch for an inevitable briefing ready to trek for the gorillas in the thick impenetrable forests. You get to spend an hour with the gorillas after having trekked for about 3-9 hours. The experience of tracking and finding these great primates is very, exciting; there are 9 other primate species including chimpanzee, blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, plus 300 bird species and 200 species of butter flies.  If you are not so worn out in the late afternoon, head for a brief nature walk to the Batwa community. Dinner and overnight at Gift of Nature Lodge (Full board)

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and Boat ride
After having that encounter with those mysterious mountain gorillas, say farewell to the impenetrable forest and head to Lake Bunyonyi. The word Bunyonyi means “small birds” When you reach, you will do a canoe ride; check out several islands like Bwama Island and many others. Return for dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi overland camp. (Full board)

Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight back home.
